This morning the house has a goose. Not ornament — a kick that arrived because a musician asked for hands-free orbit change, and the lab answered in under an hour.

Strike and breath
Two kinds of intention, one wire.
Strike — a Note On. Pad, key, future footswitch through a tiny box: the goose arms, then switches at the next junction. Discrete. A decision.
Breath — any continuous Control Change. A knob is enough; no slider required. The cricket volume follows 0-127 like air under the hand. Theremin logic: intention, then message, then result. Turn toward silence and the house softens; turn toward presence and the leitmotif returns.
Same semantic layer whether the musician tip is today SMK, tomorrow FS3X, or something that only almost touches.
One continuum
At first the duck was two ducks — long orbit and short orbit remembering separate places. That is not how a song feels. A song is one path that tightens and opens.
So we taught her manners. Kick only arms the wish. She keeps riding until the next junction — the contact of t1 and t2 — then continues on the other ring as if nothing broke. On the short path she accelerates. Same BPM. Same song. Tighter road.
t1 : t2
The ruler under the tempo now speaks musician time — beat, bar, 1/8, samples — and the lap pair: t1 for the long orbit, t2 for the short. Their proportion sits in the view: t1:t2.
At eighty-eight, the house once read t1 about 7.3 s and t2 about 4.6 s — a ratio near 1.613. Proportion is not a cage. It is what lets the body recognize the same song when the path changes.
What stays local
This is still 0 degrees — vision and developmental tests. Vertical v.90 only inherits what survives. The goose is ready for demo; the dressing room can wait.
